Artist statement: "I painted a simple picture of Jesus, inspired by many beautiful paintings that are meaningful to me. Then I covered it in tiny representations of many different stories and symbols from the Book of Mormon. The purpose of this was to demonstrate how Jesus Christ is behind all of the Book of Mormon, which is meant to testify of him. Not only is Jesus Christ the central part of the Book of Mormon, but he is interwoven into the lives of every human to step foot on Earth. Though many have not been lucky enough to understand this magnificent truth, each of us is nothing without our identity in Christ. He is with us, for us, and in us. This painting is somewhat of a symbol of my personal embracing of this truth. Along with many narratives from the Book of Mormon, there are a few tiny easter eggs of things that represent me, as I strive to live and breathe Jesus."
