Book of Mormon Art Contest

Announcing a Book of Mormon art contest! Do you love the Book of Mormon? Have you noticed that some figures from the scripture have been visualized many times and in many different ways, while others only have a handful of depictions? Or that certain scenes are almost always interpreted the same way in art? Are you interested in religious art that embraces a variety of styles and a diversity of figures? We feel the same way.

We are thrilled to partner with the Maxwell Institute and the Laura F. Willes Center for Book of Mormon Studies to host an art contest for BYU students. Cash prizes and a feature in the Book of Mormon Art Catalog will be awarded in three categories: 1) attention to underrepresented figures/scenes, 2) use of unique stylistic and technical approaches, and 3) inclusion of a variety/diversity of cultures.
