Exhibition Label: "The Book of Mormon tells of a Lamanite queen who, upon hearing the testimony of her husband, Lamoni, was overwhelmed and sunk to the ground. Her servant Abish, a faithful believer, reached out her hand to raise the queen. In this painting, the queen’s eyes open at Abish’s touch." Artist Statement: "Sometimes we, like the queen, even knowing our divine origin and potential, may still feel overcome by mortality.
