Artist statement: "This year, the story of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies struck a profound cord in my soul. It is incredibly difficult to completely denounce and lay to rest sins of habit. It’s difficult to know how to surrender your will to the Lord, no matter the circumstance. Often times it requires an oath of total submission, to bury it deep. This story inspired me to surrender my pride. Their devotion showed me that it is indeed better to “suffer…than to commit sin”."
