Notes

English major, BYU. Artist statement: "The story of the kidnapping of the Laminate daughters is a story we often overlook. Typically, the story is used to highlight the wickedness of the priests of Noah, and we often gloss over the horrible tragedy that is taking place: not only is this abduction; this is rape. The BoM only spends two verses depicting the lives of these women before the abduction, so I wanted to immortalize the joyfulness of these daughters’ gathering via bright colors and vibrancy."

  • Submitted to the 2023 BYU Book of Mormon Art Contest.
