Artist statement: "This is a depiction of the moment when Nephi was commanded to kill Laban to obtain the plates. I chose this moment because it was a moment of faith and conflict. Nephi was a young man, and I imagined the struggle and emotional conflict he faced in this moment, ultimately choosing to be faithful and doing what was asked of him."
