Notes

Artist statement: "This art tapestry shows some of my favorite characters from the Book of Mormon. I admire their faith and created these little messages for how I want my family to be in the future, based on them. I remember reading about so many of these characters in the Book of Mormon Stories when I first joined the Church. I also love the story of Abish so much, when I learned about it on my mission, so I included her in as a scripture heroine. These characters and their faith hold deep meaning to my heart. I feel like living by these values, a family can come closer to God and Jesus Christ. That was how I gained my faith. I spent two weeks sewing all these little felt characters and putting them together. It was wonderful seeing each one turn out so beautiful and personalized as I finished designing them. I'm so happy about how this art piece turned out because it can now be used in my future home."
