Instagram Caption @library_of_godwin 10/30/2024 "The end of the Nephite civilization is coming into view now. In those generations following Christ’s visit, the Gospel lived strong in the hearts of the people. But as prophesied, the hearts of younger generations began to fail. The promises of a covenant, promised land were lost as the people abandoned the commandments of God and turned to sin. The few faithful, like Mormon, doubtless understood that most of their lives and deeds would be lost to time, buried under rubble. But they knew that the sacred records in their care needed to be preserved, kept safe for that distant day when the second coming of the Lord was drawing near. Do we honor those records?" -Caleb Williams
