Notes

Acounting major, BYU. Artist statement: "Mormon was the leader of the Nephite army at the end of the Book of Mormon. However, they were so wicked and hard of heart that Mormon for a time left them to their own devices--unwilling to lead such a people. This print has a lot of black. Whenever I read these chapters, I get the feeling of a doomed apocalyptic world. Hence, the landscape (and the wicked people) reflect the dark, doomed state of the New World. Mormon, illuminated with holy light, has little faith in their future."
