Artist statement: "I love this chapter in the Book of Mormon. It is the chapter recording the visit of Jesus Christ to the people of Nephi after His Resurrection. It is so beautiful how many came to a sure knowledge of Him as their Savior through feeling His hands and feet. Jesus showed His love to them in this way, allowing them to feel His hands and feet, and so I tried to depict that love by sculpting His hand, nail scar and all, into the American Sign Language symbol for "I love you"."
