Notes

Artist statement: "In my work titled “The Last Act” there is a depiction of a sword in the ground positioned in front of the Gold Plates with the silhouette of Moroni working in the background. I have always been fond of Moroni because of his dedication and devotion to God. Even when all was falling apart around him and he was literally the last follower of Christ, he never gave up on his God given mandate. It is because of this tenacity, and more specifically Mononi’s last act of burying the plates, that allows all of us access to the pure doctrine of the actuality of Christ."
