Artist statement: "I am a non member and before coming to BYU, I heard many biased rumors and twisted truth about the LDS church which later I found very not true and offensive. Therefore, I took inspiration from the story of Korihor and created this piece as a reminder to ask questions with humility and sincerity, rather than arrogance and a desire to sow doubt, or the offensive attack to spread false information of one religion. I first created this digital painting for my Book of Mormon Class project but now inspired by more knowledge of animation, I repolished my painting and animated it for this art contest."
