Instagram caption @library_of_godwin 12/11/202 "It seems harder and harder each time to read about the end of the Nephite civilization—the trauma and horror they endured in those last few years. Even the few details the Book of Mormon gives of these sufferings are heart wrenching in their brutality and inhumanity. Those same horrors of violence and abuse have been plaguing and continue to plague the human race. It is tragic to consider Lehi and his family, brought to the promised land generations earlier, given it as a choice land if they and their children remained faithful. And now that their descendants have forgotten those covenants, their destruction is ensured. Their only hope is that they will be received into God’s presence, and that perhaps their history will be remembered in a distant, latter day."
