And one of the most memorable passages in Ether deals with the appearance of the Lord to the Brother of Jared. Scholars have (correctly, in my view) drawn a very compelling parallel between this experience for the Brother of Jared and the temple rites we perform today. The Brother of Jared acted in pure faith that the Lord would provide his people deliverance, and as a result of his faith, he was permitted to enter the Lord’s presence, seeing Christ’s premortal body. There’s so much depth and richness to these opening chapters of Ether. I encourage everyone to go and read them again and study the beautiful truths inside." -Caleb Williams
