Artist statement: "I've often thought about Abinadi's experience preaching to the priests and King Noah. I've wondered if he knew why God wanted him to call them repentance so badly and why it ended in his death. Did he die knowing what would happen shortly after? This artwork that I drew digitally is my take on that perspective. Here depicted is Abinadi seeing Alma in heaven. I think this reunion must be/will be so very special and sweet. Here Abinadi embraces Alma as he says "you were the reason why". He now sees God's plan fully and knows just how much of an impact Alma had after hearing Abinadi's call to repentance and to change. This piece is also meaningful to me because I think there are a lot of times in life when we wonder the question why? Why is God asking me to do this? How will this turn out? And I think the story of Abinadi and Alma is an example that God has more in store for us than we can imagine if we trust in Him."
