We are happy to be studying the New Testament in “Come, Follow Me” this year! This week, as we read John’s testimony that Jesus Christ is the “true Light” of the world, we can reflect on the same foundational principles taught in the Book of Mormon.
Mosiah 16:9 teaches that “He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death.”
Similarly, Alma 38:9 teaches that “there is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world. Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.”
