Notes

"This gown was sewn and embroidered by Hannah Smith (1837–1901) as she crossed the Atlantic Ocean and the American plains in 1863. John London, her betrothed, awaited her arrival in Summit County, Utah. John and Hannah London were the only members of their families to join the Church. Eighty-six of their descendants, spanning four generations, were subsequently blessed in this gown."
