icosahedron
bee, locust, seagull
"Alluding to the miracle from early Utah history, Hearty said, 'The seagull stands in as a metaphor for the Messiah.' His outstretched wings mirror that of the Savior on the cross, and the cricket stands as a metaphor for 'victory over death.' Additionally, for Hearty, the two insects stand as symbols for human nature: the bee representing “the better part of our nature, prone to cooperation” and the cricket being 'concerned only with consumption.' Additionally, the icosahedron, in the center, 'reoccurs as a symbol of idealism, perfection, and divinity' and is suspended from two nails hanging from red string, referencing the Atonement."
