Joseph Smith
"The first thing that came to me when I read the theme of the competition was the Prophet Joseph Smith and his dedication to God and desire to “make known his wonderful works.” I remembered all the stories of the Prophet’s interactions with children and decided it would be great to portray Joseph reading the Book of Mormon to children. Gaining a testimony from the man who brought forth the Book of Mormon is powerful to think about, especially when innocent children are showing the example of humble acceptance. It is a huge blessing to be able to express what I feel about the gospel with paint. I hope I can start to achieve my goals to inspire others to follow Christ."
