"This is the fifth in a series of banjos I have built commemorating the history and doctrine of the Church. In searching my mind and heart for images of Kirtland that I could depict, I found that the most important concepts I could represent were the great doctrinal and organizational developments that were received in and around Kirtland. Some of these images are fairly obvious in their representation; some are more abstract. Can you find images that represent the concepts of Zion, harvest of souls, the oath and covenant of the priesthood, the three degrees of glory, the Word of Wisdom, and the law of the Church? What might the other images represent?"
