“Agency is an essential part of the plan of salvation,” said Bennion. “Were it not for Eve being willing to make a choice that was an act of disobedience, the plan could not move forward. Eve and every woman are the gateway to mortality. By making this choice, she brought forth human life. Without her choice, the plan of salvation is empty. I think there are two portals we must pass through: the gateway into life via Eve/our mothers and the gateway back to God by way of Christ. . . . Eve’s choice is to be celebrated! I am ever grateful to her, and all my mothers before me, for my body, for life, and for the gift of choice.”
